HanabiAI Co., Ltd. announces that we attended ROBODEX, held at Tokyo Big Sight from January 21 to 23, 2026.

Our participation aimed to start from on-the-ground needs in manufacturing and logistics, develop a structured understanding of the technical essentials and engineering constraints required for real-world robot deployment, and engage in broad discussions with stakeholders across the supply chain.

Background

ROBODEX is a specialized trade show focused on robot development and applications. It showcases major robot form factors used in factories and logistics sites, along with a wide range of related components and enabling technologies. The scope includes industrial robots, AGVs and AMRs, robot vision, end effectors and grippers, deployment-oriented system integration, and peripheral equipment.

As automation and productivity initiatives continue to accelerate across manufacturing, the value of robotic systems is shifting from isolated point solutions to coordinated, system-level optimization.

Through this event, we sought to more accurately capture industry-wide requirements across compute performance, real-time responsiveness, reliability, maintainability, and manufacturability, and to strengthen the certainty of our technology roadmap.

Key takeaways

During the event, HanabiAI conducted booth visits and exchanged views through the lens of “system capabilities required for stable operation in real-world environments.” We observed the following points.

1. Robot form factors and application scenarios are becoming increasingly diverse.

2. Industry focus is shifting from performance alone to full lifecycle considerations.

3. In component-to-system co-design, responsibility boundaries and requirements are becoming clearer.

Through discussions with a wide range of industry participants, we further validated that our system vision and technology roadmap align with the latest market needs. In particular, against the backdrop of three major trends—more fragmented forms and scenarios, greater emphasis on lifecycle considerations, and clearer boundaries for system-level coordination—requirements for edge-side compute are converging on high performance, low power consumption, ease of integration, and long-term stable operation.

Building on the feedback and shared understanding gained at the event, we will consolidate these requirements into clearer system-level product requirements and implementation assumptions, and we will continue to drive productization. As a next step, we will move forward with productization and preparations for the launch of an edge AI device, delivering high-performance, low-power edge AI compute for industrial users.
